"As parents of a special needs adult, having a program like Branching Out has been a dream come true."
Angela and Ed Palmer

Our mission is to offer long-term assistance to adults with disabilities in fulfilling the goals of independence and self-sufficiency. Branching Out, LLC is a private, unique program offering developmentally disabled and mentally ill adults the opportunity to learn skills necessary to live independently and successfully in the Boston area. We allow individuals the degree of independence they can manage while providing the emotional support they need. We help our clients make a successful transition to responsible, independent adulthood. We provide services in and around the Boston area.

We provide knowledgeable, experienced advisors that give complete "wrap around services" to our clients. Our clients are assigned one person that will offer all the support you need. Our outside (non live-in) advisor will meet on a weekly basis and support the client in various ways, which may include:
- Assistance with house keeping
- Assistance with money management
- Assistance with meal preparation
- Assistance with grocery shopping
- Assistance with learning public transportation
- Assistance maintaining a healthy social calendar
- May assist in exploring career opportunities by providing a job coach
- May aid in pursuing educational goals
- May assist in utilizing community resources

What is unique about Branching Out, LLC is all of your contact will be directly with your assigned independent living advisor. With this, our clients and their families build a strong, reliable connection with the advisor. One parent referred to their child's advisor as the "surrogate parent that her son needed in order to prepare for a long-life of independence and autonomy, without relying solely on other family members."
